My older sister played the flute, so I was always certain that would be my instrument too. She and I would play duets. What fun! We both took private lessons in high school and played in the band.
Although I was not a music major, I continued playing in college and beyond. About ten years ago, I wanted to improve, so I took private lessons at Hochstein from Sally Ann Hart. I joined the Rochester Flute Association and played in the RFA flute choir. And now I'm in the New Horizons Flute Ensemble. |
