| Eva Regan has been an active music educator and performer in the Rochester area since 1988. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Indiana University and a Master's Degree in Clarinet Performance from the Eastman School of Music. In 1990, she participated in the Eastman Wind Ensemble Japan tour, which culminated in the Sony Classical recording, Live in Osaka.
Eva began her public school teaching career in 1990 with the Manchester/Shortsville Central School District before joining the Pittsford Central School District music faculty in 1995. In Pittsford she has taught 5th grade beginning band and lessons at Jefferson Road and Mendon Center Elementary schools, as well as 6-8 lessons at Calkins Road and Barker Road middle schools. She retired from PCSD in 2024.
Early in her career, Eva taught clarinet at the Eastman Community Music School, coached chamber music at the Eastman Horizons Summer Music Program, and was the clarinet studio teacher at the Usdan Center for Creative and Performing Arts on Long Island. She has presented several workshops at NYSSMA, NYSBDA, and LCMEA music education conferences on the topics of motivation in the music classroom, and incorporating improvisation, composition, and a sound-before-sight approach in the beginning band setting. She currently runs a private lesson studio out of her home.
A versatile performer, Eva is currently a member of the Eastman Music Educator's Wind Ensemble clarinet section. She also maintains a busy gig schedule in the Rochester area as a vocalist and keyboardist with The Earthtones, a harmony-driven classic rock band she formed in 1997 with her husband Brian. The Regans are also vocalists with Bad Sneakers, a 13-piece Steely Dan tribute band.
A native of Huntington, NY, she currently lives in Pittsford with her husband, Brian and their two cats, Finn and Razzy.
